Does it get much better than this?Okay, so, yes it does. It would have been far nicer if it was a bit more than 6 degrees celsius and no wind was blowing!
Either way, this is the view that I got to watch this morning after riding for an hour up the A10 to Hertford. Nice to watch the sun come up, even if I couldn't feel my feet. 
At least I'm learning which pieces of winter riding gear to get next!!! (something to keep the feet and ears warmer, coming up!!) Thankfully, I do have a massge therapist on hand, who's happy for a subject to practice on before she starts working here - I also discovered that the lower back doesn't have quite the same stamina that it used to have...
